So if the sound coming would be loud enough, a person suffering from conductive hearing loss, will be able to hear. 

The other type is sensorineural hearing loss. This could mean any degree of impairment, from mild to severe. The inner ear goes insensitive in this case or there is impairment in the auditory nervous system, which determines the impact. Sensorineural hearing loss could also mean total deafness. 

A third type is a combination of both stated hearing impairments. However, you would only be able to know the extent of hearing loss, by getting hearing aid tests done from a qualified audiologist. The hearing aid audiologist would conduct audiometric evaluation, based upon which the extent i.e. the degree and type of hearing loss will be clear. In addition to volume, the test would also diagnose how the individual understands speech, which in fact is quite an important aspect.
